Tech Lead - Web
As Tech Lead you will be setting up and leading a cross functional web development team. As the team does not exist yet, you will initially spend time with recruiting while at the same time being part of drawing up the technical plans for the new sites. We are moving away from a traditional setup based around an Enterprise CMS and moving to a more decentralized architecture based on Node.js, a headless CMS and confined services. Once the team is up and running you will be responsible for the overall planning, execution and success of the web platform. You will be managing the developers in the team and you will own the team’s Agile process. Outside of the team you will interact with multiple stakeholders in multiple countries which means you have to be good at explaining technical solutions to less technical people.
Agile is new in this part of EF and as one of the first people to join you will be a key person in setting up best practices such as how to measure velocity, technical debt and retrospectives and continuous process improvements.
EF.com is our main web site, present in 55 market and 70 languages around the world. We are now on a journey to reimagine the customer experience, which will result in major changes on the web site and across digital touchpoints. We want he site represents our products in the best possible way and that our users can find the information they want. We want to offer full e-commerce as a complement to our traditional offline sales. There are many interesting challenges in terms of information architecture, UX, technology and organizational change. We are now hiring talented, creative people to be a part of this transformation.
