The International Language School division of EF New York seeks a Residence Manager in its Tarrytown, New York location. Reporting to the School Director, the Residence Manager lives on campus and oversees the welfare of students choosing to live in one of the NY Campus dormitories. The Residence Manager manages a team of 20-36 Resident Advisors, who also reside in the dormitories. This is a very active roll on campus requiring a tremendous amount of student interaction; excellent Customer Service skills are a must!
Specific duties include but are not limited to:
- Oversee Student rule book
- Oversee check-ins and check-outs
- Participate in on campus activities nights and weekends
- Participate in weekly intakes
- Student discipline
- Liaise with Security and Facilities Departments to ensure student satisfaction and seamless operations
- Liaise with Activities Team to ensure an active residence life program on campus
The Residence Manager’s schedule varies greatly from week to week due to an on-call rotation. The Residence Manager usually works between 32 and 45 hours on any given week. Candidates must be able to work evenings and weekends. Summer is the busiest time - no vacations permitted June, July or August. Note that as this is an on-campus living opportunity, room and board is included.
