EF College Break, a division of EF Education First, offers amazing international group travel experiences to 18-28-year-old North Americans. We seek a strong team leader to recruit, develop and retain excellent on tour staff. Our on tour staff (“Tour Directors”) are the face of the EF College Break brand and have a significant impact on our customers’ experience. We have an excellent team of Tour Directors and are looking for the right person to elevate our customer experience for our rapidly growing business.

 

As Manager, On-Tour Staff, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and executing a recruitment strategy to grow our Tour Director team to ensure excellent staffing for our quickly growing business
  • Developing a tailored training program for both new and experienced Tour Directors, leveraging materials and processes developed within other EF Tours businesses
  • Allocating appropriate Tour Directors to our European tour dates
  • Ensuring consistently high performance of Tour Directors to continue to exceed customer expectations
  • Actively coaching Tour Directors to ensure their continuous development
  • Ensuring retention of strong Tour Director talent on an ongoing basis

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, communication or similar
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Natural leadership; the ability to inspire people to follow you
  • Proven talent management experience, including but not limited to talent acquisition, training and coaching, staff development, performance management and workforce planning
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit; constantly looking for opportunities to take the business to the next level
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to successfully manage multiple projects and tasks in a rapidly changing environment
  • Strong business acumen
  • Passion for international travel and global cultural experience
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, additional European languages a plus
  • Travel industry experience a plus
  • Experience working with North Americans and/or 18-28 year-olds a plus
