Night Resident Coordinator

  • The Opportunity

    Hult Tower & Studios provides a unique level of quality and luxury in central London student accommodation. From a range of different room and bed types, including shared apartments and single rooms. All room types feature top-quality furnishings. Residents can also relax in the dedicated Hult Tower & Studios social areas, which include a gym and study room on the 17th floor with spectacular views across the city. The resident experience team are responsible for the effective and efficient day to day running of the reception of our campus premium student accommodation with approximately 400 beds.

    Responsibilities

    • Taking ownership of the front of house environment

    • Taking proactive approaches and initiatives to improve the overall operations and services

    • Delivering a warm and welcoming reception service to current residents, prospective residents, staff, and visitors upon arrival and throughout their entire stay

      Performing reception duties in an efficient, professional and courteous manner

      Ensuring a smoothly running operation for resident arrivals and departures for short and long term stays

  • Building strong relationships with current residents, prospective residents, staff, and partner companies

  • Working closely with campus departments to ensure a seamless experience

  • Assisting the Accommodation Team operationally and administratively

  • Managing the inspection and repair of the accommodation to improve the overall resident

    experience, as well as the business

  • Supporting the cleaning team by checking rooms to meet expected cleaning standards prior

    to resident check-ins

  • Stocking rooms to meet inventory description, prior to resident check-ins

  • Helping the Sales Manager in converting sales leads into customers

  • Giving viewings of the premises for returning and prospective residents

  • Creating resident contracts, documents, and rent leases to support Sales Manager

  • Demonstrating full knowledge of processes and practices at Hult Tower & Studios

  • Representing the Hult brand in a professional manner and being a good ambassador for the values and practices which go along with it

  • Administrating external/internal room booking requests in person, over the phone, or through online platforms

  • Receiving, filing, and balancing payments for short and long term resident stays

  • Answering calls, emails, and online enquires within 24 hours, following up and resolving

    the requests within 48 hours

  • Resolving resident issues and concerns in a polite, warm, and professional manner

  • Handling queries and maintenance requests and communicating them to support staff

  • Logging parcels and notifying residents of post and parcels

  • Logging incident reports electronically

  • Offering information on public transportation, accommodation socials, campus events,

    and London activities

  • Responding to emergencies as required by the emergency guidebook (e.g. taking residents

    to the hospital)

  • Prioritizing emergency phone calls from the emergency phone and supporting callers

    accordingly

  • Complying with health and safety policies and legislation

  • Acting as a first aider and fire marshal on site

  • Participating in meetings and accommodation organized social events

      Work Experience, Skills, and Competencies:

      Essential:

      • Candidate must have the right to work in UK to be considered for this position.

      • Cultural and ethnical sensitivity, as work will take place among a diverse population of residents and staff

      • Passion for high standards of customer service

      • Proven track record of customer service experience, ideally in hotel or accommodation environment.

      • Ability to work on your own and as part of a team

      • Exceptional time management skills

      • Ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines

      • Flexibility to respond to a variety of work situations

      • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

      • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

      • Excellent organizational and administrative skills

        Desirable:

        • Previous work experience; preferably in hotel or accommodation environment

        • Knowledge of management systems (TCAS and JIRA)

        • Experience working internationally

        • Desirable to have a current first aid and fire marshal training certificate

          Hours: Night shifts 12 hours, 3 -4 nights a week, extra hours holiday cover if desired
