The Life Club Event Coordinator is responsible for the Life Club component of the EF center student experience. This includes conceptualizing, planning and organizing fun and exciting events allowing students to practice their English skills in a social environment without the safety net and structure that existing the normal classroom setting. The key word when talking about Life Club is “experience”. In Life Club, students are leaving the classroom and learning how to incorporate English into their everyday lives while “experiencing” the world from an English perspective by participating in events and activities that are culturally significant to the English--‐speaking world.

Event Conceptualization and Planning

Brainstorming together with the in-center teacher team to create new and exciting Life Club events that introduces the English-speaking world to the students in a fun and exciting way

Create handouts and teacher preparation materials needed to carry out the event

Purchase any necessary materials needed for the event

Locate, create and nurture long-term relationships with suitable external business partners (restaurants, sports venues etc) to use as locations for Life Club

Event Logistics

Work together with teacher team on Life Club event scheduling

Confirm Student attendance before events

Check student attendance at event

Track and collect student payments

Venue set up and event logistics before, during and after event

Handle negotiations and payments to vendors and local business-partners used for Life Club events

Handle all necessary student account follow-up in OBOE before and after events

Life Club Promotion and Student Relations

Promote the full range of Life Club activities to suitable student groups to maximize attendance and activity

Work together with the teacher team and in-center marketing team to highlight Life Club events in a suitable and positive way in Life Club calendar, students newsletters and marketing materials

Capture video footage of selected Life Club events for later use in marketing and promotional materials

Conduct student follow up activities to track student satisfaction with Life Club

Handle all student correspondence related to Life Club

Meetings, Stock-keeping and other Duties

Monthly Meeting with center managers and other center function teams

Weekly brainstorming sessions with Teacher Team to plan upcoming Life Club events

Making sure the Life Club materials are fully stocked and functional

Additional projects as needed in agreement with center managers

Support other center functional teams when needed
