FRONT-END DEVELOPER JOB DESCRIPTION
YOUR OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a charismatic and passionate front-end developer who would be crafting responsive and seamless web interfaces from high fidelity designs. This role will require you to collaborate across teams to develop web and hybrid interfaces for EF Education First’s online, mobile and enterprise apps. This position is located in our Bangalore office and is on 1 year contract basis.
YOU OWN IT
As a Front-end developer and part of “The Design Team”, you’ll own and develop new user-facing features of EF’s enterprise and online properties, including websites, landing pages, advertising, emails. You’d build reusable code and libraries for future use and ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.

INTERESTED? HERE’S WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3.
- Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS.
- Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery.
- Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
- Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small
- adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as as Gimp or Photoshop is a plus.
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as {{Git / Mercurial / SVN}}
- Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them.
