English Teacher based in Sendai (Part-time)

We are looking for an outgoing and positive English teacher for our pop-up office in Sendai.

As a part-time teacher you will be teaching demo lessons to students that are interested in our study abroad programs. Class sizes will be max 15-17 students with the age range from junior high to retirees. Key activities include preparing for and delivering lessons using EF-developed ESL courseware contents and providing guidance for improvement as necessary.

Main Responsibilities

  • Delivering lessons using PowerPoint to a wide range of Japanese English learners
  • Introducing EF-developed apps as necessary to teach English
  • Developing students’ confidence, critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and cultural skills
  • Providing encouragement and guidance for improvement as necessary


  • A Bachelor’s Degree
  • Language teaching experience
  • Valid Japanese work visa (Sponsorship not available)
