Are you bold, confident and charismatic? Do you dream of running your own business? And do you thrive in an entrepreneurial, dynamic and busy environment? Then this might be the job for you!
EF is searching for Centre Managers for our summer programme. This would be the perfect job to boost your CV by gaining management experience while working in a large international organisation.
What will you be doing?
Working with your summer management team to deliver an exceptional experience to our students. You would have the overall responsibility for the student experience in your destination and be involved in shaping their summer memories of a lifetime. Support a small management team to ensure activities, accommodation, academics – yes, the full experience from arrival to departure – runs smoothly for our students. You will ensure all hands are on deck and that the various aspects of the course are neatly interlinked and well communicated. Throughout the season you will be onboarding staff, welcoming students and holding regular team meetings – both for your management team and for the wider group of staff.
What will you take away?
After a summer of working as an EF Centre Manager, you will enhance your management knowledge and experience by working with an international team. You will be a proven leader, adaptable and capable of solving various issues without hesitation while working under pressure. The international surroundings will fine tune your communication skills as well as organisational and planning skills.
Who will you be working with?
In EF we are 52,000 staff, faculty and teachers, working in over 612 offices and schools across 52 countries, and have a global presence in 116 countries. But we are also a local team of managers, teachers, accommodation, student services and activities coordinators (plus many more) who run the school together. We have different backgrounds and many stories to share.
What is required?
To be successful in this role you need to be a leader and a team player. You must be able to perform under pressure and be passionate about keeping the quality that EF and our students expect. Communication and understanding should come naturally to you. We need you to be legally able to work in Malta, have a Maltese/EU passport or a work permit. To keep up with the standards in our school, we also need you to speak at least C2 English.
As you will be moving around the island a driving license is desirable but not a must.
In terms of mindset, we all have a ‘going above and beyond, never settling for the status quo' mentality. If you think the same way and want to be the person who makes a difference for our students and staff, then don’t hesitate and apply!
Our Centre Management roles are 10-12 weeks and would cover June, July & August.
