EF Ultimate Break

Cambridge, MA USA

The role

Are you excited about the potential for technology to transform the way business operates and consumers buy products? As part of EF Ultimate Break’s software development team (a.k.a. DevForce1), you will work with developers, business leaders, and representatives of every department to build, maintain and improve a best-in-class e-commerce platform that drives business growth.  You will join a passionate, fast-moving team with a proven record of success where collaboration and innovation are foundational.  In a given day, you might collaborate with marketing designers to collect requirements for a brand new web feature, develop test cases to hunt down a bug in Salesforce, query a database to retrieve phone data, write user stories for discussion during backlog refinement, or lead a discussion within the team to articulate areas for process improvement.  Your contribution as Business Analyst will be an essential part of ensuring the team’s work maximizes business value and achieves our objectives efficiently.

  • Become a trusted subject area expert in the technical ecosystem that powers our business
  • Interface with business users and leaders in every department to understand their needs and effectively communicate those needs back to the development team
  • Identify, solicit and continuously maintain feature requests and bug reports
  • Test and provide feedback to the development team on in-progress work before delivery
  • Communicate requests and deadlines between teams to ensure deadlines are met
  • Serve as team ScrumMaster: become an Agile expert and evangelist, keep the team on track, and document our shared decisions
  • Assist with technical tasks: Help business users with data requests, make a style change on the Live site using HTML/CSS, add a Google tag to facilitate test tracking

  • You are passionate about technology and possess an intuitive sense of how to use tools or software in or outside of your work
  • You are confident in communicating and interacting with junior staff to executive level management (you have 2+ years of professional work experience)
  • You are highly organized, and are ready to roll up your sleeves to turn chaos into order
  • You are curious and always eager to learn how things work
  • You possess strong attention to detail
