Android Software Engineer

Based in the Heart of Chelsea, the EDTech team is looking for an hands-on and result-driven Android Software Engineer. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop and deliver new features to our apps. The goal is to provide scalable and well-designed solutions for our students of the EF English Live products.
Play a developer role in multiple apps used by millions of students and teachers around the world.
Cooperate with our UX/UI team to craft beautiful experiences, and then implement them with equally elegant code. UI is a passion of yours.
Work in a collaborative team with mobile passionate people who love using and making great apps.
Interface with remote and distributed data sources and APIs.
Work closely with the Product Manager and the rest of the mobile team, to
continually improve the development process and the product quality.
Contribute to the software architecture and help to shape the development process.
Establish time/effort estimations for tasks to support effective planning.
Key Skills & Experience:
4/5 + years developing Android applications.
Experience with Java or Kotlin.
Solid understanding of Material Design and Android SDK.
Experience with Gradle.
Experience in writing Unite Test.
Solid experience of object-oriented design, and modern programming techniques.
Experience working within a team.
Problem solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
Contributed to apps in the Google Play Store.
A real passion for mobile technology and innovation.
A true love and appreciation for well-designed and scalable code.
Familiar with MVVM and/or VIPER
An active contributor to open source software (please provide links to relevant GitHub projects).
Experience working with TensorFlow
Experience working with Augmented Reality
Experience with CI tools
