The Role
EF is searching for Academic Managers for our summer program. This would be the perfect job to boost your CV by gaining management experience while working in an international and academic company.
What will you be doing?
Working with the summer management team to deliver an exceptional experience to our students. You would have the responsibility for the academic aspect of this experience in one of our schools and be integral in shaping the customer experience. Support a professional academic team of teachers to use award-nominated materials to deliver the EF academic program to classroom groups of up to 17 language students. You will help teachers plan lessons that create an inspiring safe and supportive classroom environment, where building their students’ confidence in using language is your primary concern. Throughout the season you will be observing, giving feedback and growing your teaching team to new heights. Next to the delivery of the classes, you are responsible for tracking attendance and running teacher meetings.
What is required?
- to be successful in this role you must be a team player
- managerial experience
- work well under pressure
- hands on and have great attention to detail
- legally able to work in Malta, to have a Maltese/EU passport or a work permit
- speak at least C2 English and for teaching qualifications, you will need a minimum of a 60-hour TEFL face to face but ideally a CELTA or similar.

After a summer of working as an EF Academic Manager, you will enhance your management knowledge and experience by working with a team of diverse teachers as well as being part of the destination management team. You will be a proven team player, adaptable and capable of solving various issues without hesitation. Working in an academic environment, you will have seen students growing their language skills and your teaching team growing in confidence while developing their teaching skills. Most importantly of all you will have had a fantastic EF Summer.
Details- Academic Management roles available on a fixed term basis for 4-14 weeks during June, July & August. For the shorter durations it is perfect to combine with a teaching role
- Full-time, 6-day per week contract
