EF is searching for Academic Coordinators for our summer programme. This would be the perfect job to boost your CV by gaining management experience while working in an international and academic company.

What will you be doing?

You’ll be working with the school management team and your teachers to deliver an exceptional programme for our students. This means ensuring the students have a smooth experience from being placed in a group at the best level with the right teacher through engaging classes to their unforgettable graduation. Your aim will be to ensure the quality of our academic provision to build students' confidence in actively using the language in the classroom and beyond. You’ll be supporting the teachers as they plan for lessons, tracking attendance and ensuring the academic facilities and materials are in good order, observing lessons and providing feedback. We’ll expect you to be the academic face of the school visible to and available for students, working closely with the Centre Manager and Activities Manager to ensure that teams work together producing a seamless summer for our students

What will you take away?

Through a summer of working as an EF Academic Coordinator, you will gain solid management knowledge and experience by working with a team of diverse teachers as well as being part of the destination management team. You will be a proven team player, adaptable and capable of solving various issues without hesitation. You will see students grow in their language and life skills and your teaching team build their abilities all having a fantastic EF Summer.

Who will you be working with?

In EF we are 52,000 staff, faculty and teachers, working in over 612 offices and schools across 52 countries, and have a global presence in 116 countries. But we are also a local team of managers, teachers, accommodation, student services and activities coordinators (plus many more) who run the school together. We have different backgrounds and many stories to share. Typically you will be working with your own team of newer and developing teachers who will look to you for support. A regional management team supports you with direct support from our Director of Academic Management.

What is required?

We need you to be legally able to work in the UK. Therefore, you need to have a UK/EU passport or a work permit. To keep up with the standards in our school, you also need to have a fluent level of English (C2). As well as TEFL experience, we will expect you to have a minimum of CELTA or equivalent 120-hour face-to-face TEFL qualification.  

Our Academic Coordinator roles are available for 4-12 weeks during June, July & August.
