Academic and Quality Manager

The Academic and Quality Manager is positioned at the forefront of the online language learning arm of the TESOL industry. In this role you will be responsible for keeping pace with the latest trends, specializing in both synchronous and asynchronous teacher training, remotely providing expertise and support to Academic and Operations Managers located in one of EF’s online teaching centers, researching and developing new methodologies related to Learning Management Systems (LMS) and User Experience Design (UXD), and assisting with recruitment of an ever-expanding global freelance teaching team, among other exciting projects.



  • College/University graduate
  • CELTA or equivalent (DELTA or equivalent preferred)
  • A minimum of 4 years teaching experience
  • A minimum of 2 years Academic Management experience with proven record of teacher development and teacher retention

Main Responsibilities

You will be part of a team that:

  • Sets benchmarks and standards for teacher-led services
  • Acts as a liaison between teams, business units, and centers
  • Rolls-out training and implementation for new services and products
  • Regularly evaluates academic quality of services delivered by the online centers
  • Researches and develops new platforms and participates in testing of new services and products
  • Helps recruit teachers for our global freelance team
  • Contributes to the daily operations of the Academic Service Operations Team (ASOT)
  • Leads live training webinars for managers and/or teachers
  • Contributes academic articles for the online newsletter
  • Produces training videos
