The Strategy, Products, and Analytics team (nicknamed “SPA”) is responsible for developing and growing a portfolio of programs and products to connect EP talent with our education organization Partners. The SPA team asks big strategic questions about EP’s program model and ensures that EP takes the necessary steps to innovate and execute.

Position Description

Education Pioneers is seeking a talented, strategic-thinker with strong analytic and communication skills to serve as a full-time Manager of Data and Analytics on the Strategy, Product and Analytics (SPA) Team. The Manager, Data and Analytics will work to define and refine clear metrics and targets for performance across the recruitment, admissions and placement teams. S/he will also drive analysis of EP's recruitment, admissions, placement, and partner sales processes to track organizational progress against goals in an effort to grow our impact in the education sector.

The Manager, Data and Analytics will be seated in the Boston or New York office and will engage with EP team members across the country. This is a full-time, exempt position, which reports to the Director of Strategy, Product, and Analytics.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • 3-5 years of full-time professional experience in a highly analytic role

  • Expert level using technology and data, including Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce

  • Strong data analysis skills; ability to define key questions, structure and conduct analyses, and identify insights to inform efficient decision-making

Additional Qualifications:

  • Ability to effectively communicate analyses and implications to a wide range of audiences

  • Experience working with large and complex data sets from multiple sources

  • Prior experience conducting data analysis to drive business decision-making and solve business problems

  • Experience designing and managing data systems

  • A high level of professionalism and customer service orientation

  • Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail; ability to set and consistently meet project milestones and deadlines through disciplined prioritization and efficient work habits

  • Ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization; ability to build alignment and facilitate decisions across teams

  • Ability to manage up and across; track record of holding others accountable for completing deliverables, meeting deadlines, and achieving results, even without formal authority

  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Data Collection & Analysis (50%)

  • Develop and implement project plan to collect meaningful qualitative and quantitative data, conduct analyses, and make recommendations to inform changes to the fellowship product and drive decisions related to fellowship recruitment, admissions, placement, and partner sales strategies and operations; examples include:

    • Collecting and analyzing data from partners who do not hire fellows and candidates who do not accept offers to identify opportunities to improve fellowship
    • Developing a recommendation to create clear salary expectations for fellowship candidates, based on analysis of current candidate and project data and market trends
  • Define and drive a clear and effective decision-making process to align team members on recommendations and empower key stakeholders to buy into decisions regarding product strategy

Goal-Setting & Progress Monitoring/Data Reporting (40%)

  • Partner with Director of Strategy, Product, and Analytics to identify key metrics of success across the recruitment, admissions, placement and partner sales teams at Education Pioneers

  • Conduct analyses of past data and build projection models to enable teams to set targets that are realistic and informed by accurate data and sound assumptions

  • Develop and manage an organization-wide fellowship data reporting schedule and calendar to ensure that recruitment, admissions, placement, and partner sales teams receive up-to-date data reports weekly and monthly

  • Produce high-quality reports (weekly, monthly, cyclical) to provide key audiences with insightful analysis on our progress towards goals, including team leads, the National Leadership team and Board Members

  • Lead meetings and facilitate discussions informing directors and team leads on progress towards goals and providing recommendations on how to course correct in real time

Data Systems Management (10%)

  • Conduct ongoing maintenance of existing data systems (i.e. Salesforce, Pardot, Excel) and recommend new ways to track data and new tools to use to create efficiencies in reporting and data collection, including survey tools such as Qualtrics

  • Develop and manage analytic tools to enable team members across the organization to easily access priority data and reports

Compensation & Benefits:
Salary is commensurate with experience, and includes full benefit coverage

Range: 45K - 55K
