Associate, Candidate Communication Management

Position Description

Education Pioneers is seeking an independent, detailed-oriented, strong communicator, and eager to learn candidate to manage the implementation of a candidate communication strategy for the admission and placement processes. S/he will collaborate with both the national Admissions team, who are responsible for the selection process for candidates and the national Placement team, who are responsible for managing the matching and placement process for potential fellows with partners. S/he will also support both teams on other logistical and operations projects, as needed.

The Associate, Candidate Communication Management will be a part of Education Pioneers’ national Admissions team. This is a full-time, exempt position, which reports to the Associate Director who oversees Fellowship Admissions and Placement and who will work to ensure that the Associate, Candidate Communication Management is trained on the communication systems and programs that Education Pioneers uses.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • 1-3 years of professional experience

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Proficiency/comfort using technology and data, including Microsoft Office Suite and a willingness to learn new software programs and platforms

Direct Customer Service for Fellowship Applicants (65%)

  • Manage candidate cultivation and retention by responding to e-mail and/or phone call inquiries related to the fellowship recruitment, admissions and placement processes with clear, effective responses that are consistent with EP policies and standards and with a focus on high-quality and timely customer service

  • Develop and maintain an understanding of how the fellowship recruitment, admissions, and placement process work to be able to ensure that candidates are receiving aligned and streamlined communication

  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to develop e-mail copy and messaging for the admissions and placement processes that aligns content with overall organization brand and messaging

  • Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date data tracking of candidate inquires and communication history

  • Answer the office admissions phone line and provide candidates with relevant information and additional context to their specific situation, as needed

Management of Communication Systems (20%)

  • Identify trends in candidate communication in Microsoft Outlook inboxes to develop and enhance proactive methods of responding to candidate questions and concerns

  • Collaborate with the IT and Systems Operations team to improve and recommend changes to systems and technology used to respond to candidate inquiries, in an effort to increase response efficiency, such as developing a way for candidate communication from Outlook to live in Salesforce and/or Pardot to better be able to flag issues for Managers, Strategic Staffing and the Admissions team

  • Address concerns and issues with candidate communication system as they arise to better ensure quality candidate communication

Support for Admissions and Placement Operations (15%)

  • Collaborate with the Manager, Selection Strategy and the Operations Associate, Fellowship Admissions to develop and implement a system for collecting candidate references, which will include communicating with candidates directly and following-up with references

  • Support the Operations Associate, Admissions on group interview days and other logistical needs during the admissions process, as needed

  • Serve as additional capacity for Managers, Strategic Staffing during high-volume placement periods to ensure that candidates are receiving clear and efficient communication, as needed

  • Support regional office administration, as needed

Compensation & Benefits:
Salary is commensurate with experience, and includes full benefit coverage;

Range: Approx. $40,000
