As part of the Product & Technology organization at Edelman Financial Engines (EFE) our designers play a key role embedded within product squads and have the skills necessary to deliver effective solutions for our financial planners and clients.

As a Senior Designer on our Workplace Experiences team you'll join our agile environment with a highly collaborative, cross functional team. As a customer advocate, you'll transform needs, cares, and worries into product solutions will help millions of Americans achieve their financial goals.


  • Develop a clear understanding, and advocate for the needs of our customers in partnership with product, engineering, research, content and design.
  • A bility to present a solid rationale for design choices and champion other designers.
  • Participate in or manage design sessions with teams and stakeholders, offering and providing feedback on concepts and ideas to inform or evolve the customer experience.
  • Participate in user research and usability testing to inform product requirements.
  • Create targeted, innovative, interactive concepts that map to a customer's journey and a broader omni-channel experience.
  • Selectively present designs and work to teams and stakeholders, working with UX leaders to articulate and rationalize decisions.
  • Manage major UX projects from conception to implementation with both internal and external resources.
  • Find opportunities to grow the culture of design within the organization, including mentoring other designers and driving internal initiatives.

  • Fluent in the fundamentals of design, UX principles, best practices (including ADA compliance) and all phases of the design process.
  • Skilled with industry design tools such as Figma, Adobe, Sketch and Zeplin.
  • Great communicator and storyteller who can inspire and influence others, create consensus and provide clear and insightful direction.
  • Experience performing user research, gathering and synthesizing quantitative and qualitative customer data.
  • Degree in related design or UX field or equivalent experience
