We are looking for a Senior Engineer to join our Client Experience squad. This team owns the client-facing website used by employees to avail the services, features, tools, and education needed to create a comprehensive retirement plan. This is a full-stack role and includes development of client-facing web experiences using modern technologies including Typescript and React and/or Angular as well as microservice development using AWS services. The ideal candidate should share our passion for building great software that helps to improve people's financial goals.

Once it is safe to return to the office, this will be a hybrid role, expected to come into the office 3 days per week on average. This position is based in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
Responsibilities:

  • Developing features for our single page application experiences using Node.js, React and/or Angular that integrates with the backend REST APIs
  • Build scalable and reusable front-end components that can be used in multiple web applications
  • Taking user stories from idea to implementation including work estimation, collaboration with our product team, development, testing, code review and deployment
  • Actively collaborating with the other engineers on the squad through code reviews, pair programming, interactive design sessions and team retrospectives
  • Developing automated tests using Junit, Jest, Protractor, Cypress, or other tools
Requirements:
  • 5+ years software development experience including significant experience developing modern web applications using React, Angular, AngularJS or a similar Javascript-based framework
  • Experience developing in Java or a similar object-oriented language
  • Comfort working with REST APIs, GraphQL to access and retrieve data
  • Experience with Agile frameworks such as SCRUM or Kanban
  • Bonus points for AWS experience and certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. Master's degree preferred
