System Software Architect

As a system software architect you’ll balance business and technical requirements to design the optimal solution without over-engineering.You’re likely a guru in turning requirements into solid yet simple systems that are maintainable and massively scalable. To you testing is a way of life. This is why we’ve dedicated an entire day each week to reviewing each other’s code on the team. Collaboration with cross functional teams will require you to apply your strong communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences on a regular basis. We encourage the freedom to investigate and evaluate new technologies to solve complex problems. As a result, your input will have a significant impact on our company and our products that are used by hundreds of thousands of users daily. The team mindset is entrepreneurial and futuristic. They cannot abide stagnancy. They thrive on implementing breakthrough ideas.
- Design and development within a multi-process, highly concurrent, asynchronous and clustered server back-end
- Coding and troubleshooting of Java-based server applications
- Strong concurrency development experience
- Strong performance, unit testing, and debugging skills
- Strong experience writing scripts for automation
- Good grasp of security best practices
- Good grasp of database systems
- Experience with Linux
Nice to Have’s:
- Knowledge of additional programming languages
- A strong interest in sustainability and green technologies
- Love of open source and a strong desire to play with new technologies
