Transducer Technician

Eaton's AER FED Fluid Electrical Distribution is currently seeking a Transducer Technician. This position is based at our Bethel, CT facility.

Core hours for this position is 7AM-3:30PM.

The hourly pay range for this position is $20-$30/hr per hour.

What you'll do:

• Assemble, setup and maintain tooling
• Assemble, test, calibrate and thermally compensate an electro/mechanical device
• Maintain quality records
• Interface and/or interpret internal customer and supplier requirements
• Perform final acceptance testing on electro/mechanical pressure sensor (ATP)

• Manufacturing of aerospace grade pressure sensing devices
• Own and contribute to improving team productivity (i.e. GU, OTD, and throughput). Track progress towards goals, objectives, and plans.
• Work closely with Manufacturing Engineers, MESH, and the Quality team to ensure the continuous application of safety and quality control standards to products and work processes.
• Basic knowledge of quality standards
• Basic knowledge of written instructions, visual aids, sketches and blueprints
• Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, etc)

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution required
• Minimum of 1 years experience in a manufacturing environment required.
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 60-mile radius of Bethel, CT will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Aerospace manufacturing experience
• Solid understanding of GD&T principles
• Solder or microscope-aided inspection experience
• Lean Practitioner / Continuous Improvement tool experience

• Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, persuasive ability, analytical problem-solving aptitude, and an ability to adapt well to changing circumstances.
• Demonstrate the ability to deal with ambiguity and provide honest, clear, and tactful guidance to peers.
• Skilled at understanding onerous customer requirements and preparing large data-packets with a high degree of accuracy.
• Committed to overtime as needed in support of all monthly product shipments.
