Eaton's Energy Automation Solutions Division is looking for a Software Developer. This position is located at our office in Brossard, Quebec with hybrid work opportunities. Candidates must reside within 80km of the Greater Montreal area.

Position Overview:

CYME International T&D is a world-class Power Engineering Solutions provider with an established reputation for customer responsiveness and technical expertise. Our solutions stand behind thousands of T&D projects in over 100 countries around the world. As part of a multidisciplinary development team, the software developer will participate in the design and development of software and custom client projects in the field of analysis and modeling of electricity distribution networks and renewable energies.

Essential Functions:

  • Designs, builds, and maintains efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
  • Analyzes technical specifications and engineering requirements.
  • Prepares detailed software verification test plans.
  • Collaborates with the support and offer management teams to provide an unsurpassed customer experience.
  • Coordinates all stages of the development cycle in collaboration with the project lead.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Experience in modern C++/C# programming.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Visual Studio development environment.
  • Experience with Oracle and SQL.
  • Fluency in French and English is required for this position in order to communicate with colleagues, customers, and partners located inside and outside of Quebec, as well as to understand technical documentation in the field of our industry.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within an 80-kilometer radius of Greater Montreal will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with MFC and .NET frameworks
  • Experience with C++17 or more.
  • Experience with Python
  • Interest in DevOps processes (pipelines, continuous integration/deployment.
