Eaton's Interconnect - Aerospace Division is seeking a Sr. Quality Engineer in Tijuana, Baja California.
Primary Function:
The Senior Quality Engineer for Transitions will be responsible for overseeing the transition of Plating line in aerospace components and systems into production, ensuring compliance with aerospace industry standards and regulatory requirements. The role focuses on improving product quality, enhancing manufacturing processes, and coordinating cross-functional teams to achieve seamless transitions. The engineer will also be accountable for resolving quality issues, managing risk assessments, and leading continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Functions:
- Lead the quality assurance efforts during the transition from product development to production, ensuring adherence to AS9100, NADCAP and other Aerospace regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and suppliers, to ensure product specifications and quality requirements are met.
- Conduct root cause analyses for non-conformances, develop corrective action plans, and implement process improvements to prevent reoccurrence.
- Facilitate the qualification and approval of new manufacturing processes and suppliers in line with aerospace quality standards and customer requirements.
- Develop and implement quality control plans, inspection processes, and testing protocols to validate product quality throughout the transition process.
- Coordinate with program managers and stakeholders to address quality concerns, mitigate risks, and meet project timelines.

Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Advance English - Written and able to hold fluent spoken conversations.
- 5+ years of experience in quality engineering, with a focus on aerospace transitions or new product introductions.
- In-depth knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and other aerospace quality standards.
- Proficiency in quality tools such as FMEA, Quality Control Plans, SPC, Root Cause Analysis, and Corrective Action systems. (8D Methodology, Fault tree Analysis, Is-is-not, 5 whys).
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Experience in the development of First Article Inspection per AS9102.
