Regional Sales Manager - Mechanical

Indianapolis, IN

Eaton's B-Line business is currently seeking a Regional Sales Manager. This position can be worked at any of the listed Eaton locations or remotely from a home office within the northeast or central region.

Position Overview:

The Regional Sales Manager, Mechanical is responsible for the attainment of overall sales objectives for the B-Line Mechanical product portfolio within the given territory. The incumbent will be responsible for implementing and executing growth plans, incorporating Agents, distributor personnel, and contractors, and tracking progress to meet expected growth goals. These responsibilities also include increasing customer preference and driving specification and demand for B-Line's Mechanical products in the marketplace for their assigned geographic region. The incumbent will meet with engineering firms, architectural firms, consultants, end users, contractors, OEM's, and others to deliver technical presentations, write specifications, and build and grow key customer relationships within a given territory. He/she is also responsible for driving opportunities that assist B-Line in achieving the division goals leveraging the Eaton sales teams/channels.

In this function you will:

  • Plan and direct the efforts of sales agents, distribution, and contractors in securing sales volume in accordance with the prescribed objectives or goals (conversions & new product sales).
  • Assist sales agents, distribution, contractors, and consultants at appropriate intervals as required, and provides expertise or influence in key situations.
  • Develop and maintain liaison with top management of national or regional facilities of key accounts located within the territory.
  • Analyze sales levels and trends, and initiates action as necessary to ensure attainment of sales objectives.
  • Be responsible for initiating and implementing training for distribution, contractors, and reps.
  • Understand and demonstrate the features and benefits of the full line Mechanical products including training others on product usage and applications.
  • Train our Customers on how to specify, sell, and properly apply the products.
  • Inform the Division of business and product trends and competitive conditions within the region.
  • Support the strategic planning process through understanding and effective communication of customer needs.
  • Coordinate sales activities with production, distribution, engineering, marketing, and finance departments to achieve territory sales objectives.
  • Help to coordinate activities and resolve internal problems that can negatively impact customers, including issues related to manufacturing, scheduling, delivery, and billing.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • 3+ years of experience in Industrial/Construction Sales
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.

Preferred qualifications:
