Eaton's IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician.
The hours for this role are 730 am - 4 pm
The hourly rate for this position is $26.50 per hour.

What you'll do:
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
This position is responsible for supporting the production of electro-mechanical sensors. Primary functions include: creating and maintaining work instructions, assisting production issues, and troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical circuitry failures.
This position is responsible for supporting plant leadership in achieving business and financial goals by developing and maintaining robust manufacturing processes and participating and/or leading continuous improvement / cost out initiatives across the organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Responsible for assisting the manufacturing engineers in all areas of responsibility with primary focus on process checking assembly and machining conformance to standards and the maintenance and documentation of work instructions.
2. Provide technical support and instruction for group leaders and operators on proper assembly techniques.
3. Maintain routers and visual work instructions.
4. Assist in the investigation of root cause for non-conformities and implementation of corrective action.
5. Assists in developing and maintaining robust, cost efficient manufacturing processes and product structures consistent with lean manufacturing practices.
6. Implements methods and practices to reduce variation. Demonstrates ability to understand source(s) of variation.
7. Promotes culture of continuous improvement and understands lean manufacturing techniques as they apply to consistent with lean manufacturing practices.
8. Identifies and eliminated 8 lean wastes.
Qualifications:
• Ability to troubleshoot circuitry with a multimeter
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques - i.e. value stream mapping, one piece flow, etc.
• Understanding of problem-solving methodologies used in determining root cause and formulating corrective action(s) - i.e. thought maps, 8D, root cause analysis, Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis, Gage R & R, control charts, Pareto charts, etc.
• Minimum 1 year experience in working with the lean tools in a manufacturing environment
• US person within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a US person as a US Citizen, US Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee
Preferred
• Good understanding of blueprints/schematics
• Good understanding of Microsoft word & excel
• Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel
• Associate degree or 2 year certification in related discipline from accredited institution
• 3 years manufacturing experience ability
