The hourly rate for this position is $24.50 per hour.
The core hours are 7 am - 3 pm. Overtime may exceed this and be mandatory at times.

What you'll do:
The General Welder will operate various types of welding equipment in both Transformer assembly lines for general production work. This may include low voltage welding, welding on stainless and mild steel covers, welding radiators onto the tanks, and using the robotic welder.
In this function, you will:
- Use weld fabrication equipment including plasma arc torch, tig-welder, mig-welders, robotic mig welder, grinders, drills, and any other special tooling that may be required.
- Work from basic prints, computer readouts, written and verbal instructions and material lists using judgment when complete prints are not available.
- Operate various types of material handling equipment including bridge cranes, jib cranes, and manually operated hand trucks when necessary.
- Place both weld-on and bolt-on covers to units - giving them a pressure test using air and soap.
- Perform Low voltage aluminum and copper welding and mild and stainless-steel cover welding
- Work in Transformer assembly positions as needed.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of assembly experience
- Minimum of 1 year of welding in a manufacturing environment AND/OR completion of a 1-year technical diploma in welding from an accredited institution.
- Must be able to work in the US without requiring company sponsorship now or in the future.
- Relocation benefits not included. Only candidates living within 50 miles of Waukesha WI will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Skills:
- Ability to work overtime when required.
- Must pass the Eaton General Welding Test.
- Ability to lift up to 50 LBS; bend, twist, grab, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, use both hands to lift and lower materials, and perform all other essential duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
