Eaton's Corporate Sector is currently seeking a Financial Accounting and Reporting Specialist to join our team. This position is based at our Beachwood, OH location with relocation being provided. Flexible hybrid work schedule available from Beachwood, OH.

This position performs professional accounting work involving reporting and analysis of global financial results to provide senior management with timely and accurate financial information that aids in decision-making. This includes analyzing and correcting financial data as submitted by all operations worldwide through the use of various accounting systems.

In this function you will:

  • Prepare, analyze and review consolidated financial results delivered to Eaton senior management and Board of Directors, including preparation of disclosures for external SEC filings
  • Accounting, reporting, analyzing and forecasting of corporate items such as the statement of cash flows and the balance sheet
  • Provide in-depth, accurate and timely analysis of global financial results to gain an understanding of the key business drivers and make recommendations to senior management for decision-making
  • Prepare and review consolidated monthly forecast and annual profit plan and provide meaningful analysis of variances to senior management
  • Partner with various corporate and operational cross-functional teams for the purpose of supplying or explaining data, providing advice on accounting matters or driving process improvements
  • Assist with audit requests from internal and external auditors
  • Perform corporate ledger accounting and prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Participate or lead special projects/process improvements to help drive efficiencies in the finance organization
  • Evaluate complex accounting matters in accordance with US GAAP
  • Ensuring effectiveness of controls and compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

Preferred qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of US GAAP, Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
