Role overview
The primary function of the Senior Field Service Engineer role is to conduct service and periodic maintenance to customers. Follow up customer agreements and customer satisfaction through planning, execution, documentation and invoicing of service tasks. Ensure update of customer information, technical documentation and input to correct invoicing of customers. Support customers in technical questions (phone and/ or mail). Support own colleagues in Service department and sales with technical knowledge. Participate in required training (technical, mandatory by Eaton or by law). Responsivities over the service request realization (timing, effectiveness) and service sales budget realization. You will act as a Field Service Engineer (FSE) in Romania and Rep. Moldova, mainly working in electrical installation in a field. To provide a first-class service for the Eaton installed base products to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and loyalty. Responsible for installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance and product repairs.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Follow EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) responsibilities as provided by the role, perform Health & Safety audits of FSE and subcontractors ensuring the high standards required by Eaton are maintained.
  • Lead by example and ensuring that also own team members and vendors are following these rules.
  • Responsibilities over business growth of service through indirect sales
  • Responsible for overseeing UPS installation and commissioning across designated territory
  • Provide highest level of technical expertise and onsite customer training
  • Manage sub-contractor teams and support and train Local FSE and ASP (Authorized Service Partners) in service activities
  • Manage technical escalations providing support including site visits, to engineers and customers alike
  • Drive escalations to conclusion and provide feedback where necessary, report on time / Bring daily updates to management
  • Work closely with Product Managers, advising on commissioning considerations and assisting on selection of suitable engineers, carry out site visits as required
  • Cooperate with Customer Service Department and Service group to process all customer service issues and to identify customer complaints
  • Ensure the service activities are done following the instructions, and complaints activity is managed with high standard of quality
  • Maintain direct connection with business units and act as local point for all technical exchange regarding service procedures
  • Maintain customer relationships, whilst maintaining quality customer service

Qualifications

Your essential skills we are looking for:

  • Electrical background or education, and 3 to 5+ years of professional experience in Service, 2 + years' experience in the field
  • Good knowledge of three phase electrical installation, electrotechnical, electronics and automation; a plus having the local authorization (ANRE)
  • UPS installation, maintenance and repair experience is essential
  • Good understanding of switch panels and power distribution
  • Good understanding of power backup devices - Genset, Automatic Transfer switch, by-pass devices
  • Ability to use specific measurements tools and software (power quality analyzer, battery tester
  • ERP software experience is a plus
  • Very good Communication skills / Customer Focus / Flexibility / Be able to work together on customer site with diligence and care and under pressure / Able to follow procedures
  • Flexibility in working outside of normal working hours and readiness to travel inside territory and abroad if needed
  • English skills are required (Fluent level)
