Eaton's Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Communications Lead - Data Center. The preferred location is Beachwood, OH however candidates outside a 50 mile radius remote will be considered

The expected annual salary range for this role is $123750.0 - $181500.0 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:

Communications / Strategic Initiatives
Eaton is seeking an experienced communications professional to support our global Data Center segment. This role is critical to supporting Eaton and our data center team as we lead, invest and execute for growth, and will span across both internal and external communications.

Responsible for the development and delivery of a timely, impactful, and engaging data center communications strategy, and with a heavy focus on internal education and change enablement , the person in this role will form a critical part of our communications team.

The ideal candidate will lead, develop, and deploy a detailed communications strategy specifically for global data centers, and have an in-depth understanding of ROI and measurement. Responsibilities include serving as a critical liaison between multiple stakeholders and the Communications function, translating complex concepts into clear, compelling messaging that drive action and adoption, support of change management initiatives, ensuring consistent stakeholder engagement across critical partnerships including marketing, HR and engineering, and fostering a culture of transparency and excitement around data center innovations.

Success in this role requires experience of working in a similar fast-paced and fast-evolving environment, with a strong focus on understanding our customers, collaboration, and results.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute strategic communications plans that educate and energize stakeholders around data center initiatives while ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent, impactful, and timely messaging.
• Serve as the primary communications liaison for our data center team, communications teams, and executive stakeholders, building trusted relationships and ensuring transparency and clarity.
• Lead detailed planning and execution of internal and external communication campaigns, including communications strategy, tactics, executive briefings, building media relationships, stakeholder presentations and omni channel content management.
• Support change management initiatives by developing targeted messaging and engagement plans for impacted teams and stakeholders.
• Drive innovation in communication practices by leveraging digital tools, data visualization, and storytelling techniques to enhance understanding and engagement.
• Monitor and evaluate communication effectiveness, adjusting strategies as needed to improve outcomes and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Translate complex technical concepts into accessible, engaging content for diverse audiences.
• Foster a culture of transparency, excitement, and collaboration around data center innovations.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications (Must Haves):

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field
  • Minimum of ten(10) years of experience in strategic communications, preferably having spent time in either the data center market, or technical environment.
  • No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of Beachwood, OH if not within the radius remote candidates will be considered
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree and/or Change Management certification
  • Experience in data center or critical infrastructure environments.
  • Proven experience managing multiple global projects across different regions and time zones.
  • Strong analytical and storytelling skills.
  • Advanced qualification in communications or project management
  • Understanding of data center systems and terminology (e.g., LV/MV electrical systems, UPS, energy storage).
