BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE, FINANCIAL SERVICES

The Business Development Associate will play a critical role in expanding Earnest’s financial services client base. Our product combines transaction data across millions of anonymous US consumers with analytical tools to provide a unified and holistic view of the consumer economy. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and creative with proven business development and lead generation skills within the financial services landscape. The successful Business Development Associate will gain all the necessary tools and experience to take on increased responsibility and with merit, progress to Business Development Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support Business Development Directors throughout the entire sales cycle from sourcing to closure
  • Perform ongoing research on prospective clients used to support customized engagement
  • Over time, engage prospective clients directly via phone and email to secure meetings
  • Relay customer feedback and questions to internal Data Analyst Team
  • Collaborate with account management team to ensure new client needs are being met
  • Become an expert on Earnest’s products and the broader data landscape

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree and at least 1-2 years of experience driving or supporting B2B sales
  • Experience working with a technical product catering to institutional investors preferred
  • Ability to handle confidential/sensitive information and exercise exceptional judgment
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, and writing skills are required
  • Goal-oriented, disciplined, and professionally persistent, outstanding time management skills
  • Ability to work constructively under pressure with a demanding and sophisticated customer base
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Extremely hard worker, ethical, and thoughtful team player
  • Must be comfortable making cold calls
  • Experience building out a prospecting process by leveraging tools such as LinkedIn, Bigdough and other data sets
