Revenue Analyst

Duolingo is the world’s most popular way to learn languages. We believe the process of learning a new language should be fun. We’re looking for a business analyst to help us measure and analyze user activity in greater detail to help us balance learning outcomes, user retention, and monetization.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with cross-functional colleagues to analyze new features and existing features to increase learning outcomes, user retention, and monetization
  • Develop frameworks and processes for data analysis, to ensure data influences decisions at all levels
  • Contribute to company strategy for anything related to the in-app economy, subscriptions, and other related areas
  • Understand the company’s culture, and align projects with company-wide goals
  • Recommends A/B tests to drive revenue increases, and can estimate the revenue impact of such experiments

Requirements:

  • BS in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Math, Statistics
  • Familiarity with Duolingo products
  • Strong data analysis and project management skills
  • Exceptional communication skills, understands metrics and can explain their meaning to others
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Knowledge of one or more of SQL, R, Matlab, or Python
  • Must be able to relocate to Pittsburgh, PA
  • Preference for someone with previous experience at a leading mobile game or app development company
