The profressional in Enterprise Monitoring engineering team is responsible for the development, implementation and support of the Log Management Infrastructure and the centralized multi-tenant Enterprise Splunk Platform including Security Information and Event Management (SIEM). Key responsibilities include assuring their availability, high reliability and operating effectiveness, and leading the on-boarding activities for the additional log sources and applications / services utilizing Splunk.
II. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Up to 5)
Develop, implement and maintain enterprise wide Log Management Infrastructure spanning data centers, AWS cloud and D&B offices. Implement management processes to assure its robustness, availability, reliability and effectiveness. Engineer, implement and maintain scalable centralized Splunk infrastructure and configurations including Splunk Cloud and on-premises Forwarders / Deployment servers. Integrate Log Management and Splunk into a seamless environment facilitating SIEM implementation; infrastructure and applications fault monitoring; and applications Splunk deployment. Deploy Splunk Applications, onboard new log sources and configure data ingestion Undertake day-to-day operational and user support, and provide Splunk and Log Management system engineering assistance Maintain a relationship with Splunk and Log Management vendors on feature requests, upgrade planning, and product roadmap alignment
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related disciplines.
A minimum of five years of experience in system administration in Linux and Windiows environment
Network, Internet / Web technology working knowledge
Working knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Python, Pearl, bash, etc.)
Experience in indexing, tagging and field extraction in Splunk
Experience in designing and implementing high availability, scalable Splunk configurations
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Must have demonstrated leadership skills in the creation of innovative solutions.
