Job Description

The Role

  • Provide DevOps support for a portfolio of applications including release management, performance monitoring and day to day running of apps
  • Recommend and implement improvements to operational models using automation/scripting wherever possible.
  • Implement changes to apps where applicable to ensure continued operation.
  • Producing technical specifications , software release documentation and maintenance handover documentations
  • Part of a dynamic team of software designers/engineers tasked with delivering exciting customer-focused, web-based applications and products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support applications in production by working closely with developers to manage releases, monitor and analyse performance of a portfolio of products. Many of these are cloud based.
  • Bug fix and adapt existing software applications / products to team-agreed timescales and standards
  • Involved in the transition of projects into a support environment including Infrastructure, Application Support and Service Management

Position Requirements:

About You

  • Significant commercial DevOps experience with strong knowledge of Cloud and traditional environments.
  • Commercial experience of using Linux, Windows, SQL Server and Oracle
  • Experience with a version control system
  • Knowledge of SQL querying and data manipulation
