Team Overview:
Dun & Bradstreet is looking for a Software Engineer to join our Distribution Technology team. Working as part of an Agile scrum team you will be responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge web based financial applications.
The Role:
As a Software Development Engineer in the Distribution Technology team you will join a team of brilliant, friendly and energetic solutions architects, developers, QA engineers and Project Managers who strive to deliver best in class custom solutions to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
- Development of cutting-edge web based financial applications.
- Working in a cross-functional agile team you will be developing features end-to-end across the software stack
- You will quickly validate proposed solutions and address technical uncertainty using proof-of-concepts and early experience prototypes
- You will be expected to write elegant, simple code that lends itself to low cost maintenance, extensibility, testability, and performance
- Ensuring high quality of team deliverables through rigorous in-development testing methods
- Prepare and validate estimates for delivery of team backlog
- Develop an understanding of the business domain and the wider tech platform you are contributing to
- Collaborate with the team to take advantage of new concepts/technologies
- Make informed decisions quickly and taking ownership of services at scale
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or any equivalent degree
- 3-5 years of work developing web-based applications interacting with APIs, databases and storage
- Experience and proven ability to produce high quality applications in Java
- Experience delivering solutions on AWS utilizing a broad set of the services available
- Experience contributing to web application UI/UX with Javascript highly desirable
- Experience of code quality reporting using tools and applying unit testing techniques using frameworks
- Solid understanding of High Availability, Systems Design, Architecture, Cloud Technologies, Databases, Open Source and Web technologies
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
- Experience with Agile methodology and the ability to recognize opportunities for enhancement and continuous improvement
- Strong written and oral communication skills
