Job Description

Dun & Bradstreet is looking for a mid to senior level engineer to work with an agile team for the company’s flagship website, other web properties and products. Working in a fast paced environment, the engineer will work closely with other developers, database administrators and project managers. Responsibilities include but are not limited to conducting code reviews, agile development, service oriented architecture and object-oriented programming.

Job Duties:

  • Conduct object-oriented programming and web development for our flagship website as well as other web properties owned by Dun & Bradstreet.
  • Continually conduct exploratory development
  • Lead and perform ongoing code reviews
  • Take ownership responsibility of ongoing website development
  • Mentor, train and lead new developers, provide work guidance as needed
  • Continually conduct exploratory research and development

Position Requirements:

  • MS/BS in Computer Science or a related field preferable• 4+ years developing with PHP, HTML, CSS, and JS for a public facing online property
  • Good PHP5 / Object Oriented Programming skills
  • Strong technical acumen, understanding on basic SQL syntax for checking results in a database
  • Thorough understanding of agile principles and process
  • Familiar with Linux and Mac OSX
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies
  • Working knowledge of MVC and Zend Framework preferable
  • Well versed with JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, HTML, CSS, Behat, and SQL
  • Experience with caching on high-traffic, public-facing websites
