The Impact you will have in this role:

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of alternative investing by leveraging DTCC's infrastructure and your product expertise. You'll work at the intersection of innovation, regulation, and client experience-helping to unlock new growth opportunities for the business and its clients. As a Product Management Director, you will be a commercial, strategic and execution-focused Product Manager to support the growth strategy of DTCC's Wealth business. This role will be instrumental in shaping and delivering innovative solutions that drive adoption and growth of our wealth products, including mutual funds, insurance, and alternatives/private markets. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, energetic and curious, and has familiarity with the associated processes and market landscape.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy & Roadmap definition: Define and execute the product vision and roadmap, including identifying market trends, client needs, and regulatory developments to inform product strategy. Build commercial models and business cases to substantiate the strategy.
  • Growth Strategy Development & Client/Market Engagement: Represent the business with clients and the market, synthesize client feedback to inform product roadmap, support marketing and communications efforts, assess new opportunities, develop strategic programs for growth. Complete commercial analysis and articulate value.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with external partners and vendors, serving as a primary liaison between DTCC and its clients, as well as internal teams (e.g., technology, operations, legal/compliance, and the client office).
  • Product Development & Delivery: Lead end-to-end product development lifecycle - from ideation and requirements gathering to testing, launch, and post-launch optimization. Translate business needs into detailed product requirements and user stories, where required.
  • Operational Enablement: Partner with Operations and Technology to streamline workflows and ensure scalable, resilient infrastructure. Support development of strategy to integrate the alternatives products into the firm's broader wealth platform and clients' systems and environments, where required.
  • Risk & Compliance: Ensure all product initiatives adhere to regulatory requirements and internal risk standards. Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks associated with alternative products. Represent DTCC's private markets to regulators where required.

Qualifications:

  • 10-15 years of experience in product management or business development, preferably within wealth management, asset management, or financial infrastructure.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or relevant advanced degree a plus.


Talents Needed for Success:

  • Strong understanding of or experience working in the market infrastructure, including the private markets space (e.g., private equity, hedge funds, real assets) and the associated operational ecosystem.
  • Proven ability to manage complex cross-functional initiatives and deliver results in a matrixed environment.
  • Experience building production-grade products, familiarity with blockchain infrastructure.
  • Exceptional communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills; ability to articulate a vision in written, verbal, and presentation materials.
  • Experience working with or alongside DTCC or similar financial market infrastructure providers is highly desirable but not a must.


The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations. Clearing & Securities Services group delivers world-class safety and soundness for the global financial services industry. The team provides DTCC's portfolio of core securities business, including Institutional Trade processing and First Line Resilience and Control to facilitate better end-to-end planning and prioritization as well as enable more coordinated and seamless delivery of capabilities and services for our clients.
