About our Internship Program:

The Summer Internship Program is a unique and challenging 10-week experience for diverse, talented, high-performing individuals interested in different aspects of the financial and technology industry. Contingent upon business needs, performance and completion of degree, our internship serves as a pipeline to our full-time early-career program EDGE.

The impact you will have in this role:

As part of the Cyber Security Risk Office (CSRO), you will contribute to DTCC's mission of safeguarding critical information assets by supporting initiatives that strengthen our security posture. This internship offers hands-on exposure to identifying and mitigating cyber risks, with a focus on understanding how improper access or user behavior can impact organizational resilience. You will gain foundational knowledge of DTCC's cyber security policies, control frameworks, and awareness strategies, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement risk reduction measures. Your contributions will help shape a culture of security awareness and reinforce DTCC's commitment to protecting its digital ecosystem.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and documentation of AI governance frameworks, including use case assessments and validation for emerging technologies.
  • Assist in preparing reports and dashboards that track cyber security risk metrics, controls, and trainings.
  • Participate in management control testing activities to evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of cyber security controls.
  • Collaborate with business and technology teams to assess and document risk mitigation strategies.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of cyber security training and awareness initiatives.
  • Help monitor and report on compliance with internal security protocols and external regulatory requirements.
  • Engage in threat intelligence activities to understand emerging risks and response strategies.

Selection and Program Timeline: (timing may vary)

  • August - October 2025: Applications open
  • October - December 2025: Interview and Selection process
  • January - May 2026: Early engagement and onboarding process
  • June 2026: Start of program


Qualifications:

  • Candidates must be working towards a bachelor's degree in the following curriculums: Business, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, MIS, Technology Management, or any other related field
  • Candidates must have authorization to work permanently in the US without the need for sponsorship (now or in the future)
  • Candidates must have minimum of a 3.2 GPA to be considered


Talents Needed for Success:

  • Must demonstrate superior analytical and communication skills
  • Strong interest in the financial services industry, with previous internship experience a plus
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Solid communication, negotiation, and relationship management skill
  • Knowledge of Excel including pivot tables, charts, and dashboards


The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
