Technical Advisor - Team Manager

Role Description
Technical Advisors utilize their deep industry knowledge, Dropbox product knowledge, partner ecosystem familiarity, IT know-how, and program management skills to help customers make Dropbox available to as many employees as possible in the shortest amount of time. Technical Advisors provide coverage for Customer Success Managers to drive the secure and stable deployment of Dropbox, as well as advise IT and business decision makers.

  • Manage execution of post-sales engagements with customers end to end, including through the sales process, by demonstrating Dropbox's delivery capabilities to customers and handling all contracting associated with in-house professional services
  • Partner with the TA Technical Lead who provides quality assurance for all Managed Accounts and Enterprise Services projects
  • Act as a senior advisor for customers' IT implementation teams as they deploy Dropbox, e.g. identity management, security, client management, network management and integrations to other on-premise and cloud applications
  • Manage all methodologies, processes and knowledge associated with delivering Dropbox solutions to customers; work with related teams (SA, CX) to align methods and knowledge
  • Lead the TA team on a day to day basis, including all areas of professional development and performance management
  • Facilitate team processes and the team building new methods and tools needed to support customers
  • Lead the TA team to develop and demonstrate product expertise, both on the core Dropbox for Business product and APIs
  • Manage interactions with Customer Success Managers to respond to technical issues; partner with the Technical Lead who responds to escalations
  • Manage interactions with Product Management, CX and Product Marketing in partnership with the Technical Lead
  • BA/BS degree
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience
  • Consistent track record in professional services, technical consulting, or similar roles
  • You have a passion for helping customers get the most out of technology and have experience in implementing SaaS technologies
  • You bring extraordinary interpersonal skills, to build relationships with the customer from the front line to the C-suite
  • Prior team management experience
  • Flexibility to travel up to 30% of the time
Preferred Background
  • Demonstrated project leadership skills, with direct responsibility for leading project teams, budget and schedule
  • Ability to manage services sales processes, including proposal development
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Extensive external consulting experience (Cloud Computing preferred)
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, high energy, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to multi-task and perform effectively under pressure
