Dropbox Seattle is a tiny but rapidly expanding engineering office currently working across iOS, Android, desktop, payments, and photos. As an early member of Dropbox Seattle Engineering, you’ll have the unique opportunity to build critical product features and infrastructure while shaping the direction of the team and the office. Responsibilities

  • Work alongside a premier multi-functional team to build delightful products and experiences for hundreds of millions of people
  • Designing, building and launching new features for Dropbox on iOS and/or Android
  • Re-architecting and maintaining existing features
  • Increasing conversions from free => paid users
  • Making foundational improvements to our infrastructure
  • Building backend systems that scale
  • Shape the direction of future mobile products at Dropbox

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer building products on mobile or backend
  • A college degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related field, including a solid understanding of Computer Science fundamentals
  • Android, iOS or Windows Phone experience is preferred
  • You enjoy the challenges of building data intensive, highly responsive, and fault tolerant apps in the constrained environment of a smartphone
  • You have a willingness to buck the trends and learn new approaches to build software. We're always devising faster and more effective ways to build.
  • Experience with distributed systems a plus
  • Experience with building accessible products a plus
