Platform Product Marketing Manager

Role Description
We're looking for an exceptional product marketing manager with the technical experience necessary to plan and execute initiatives that will drive the growth of the Dropbox platform with a technical audience. Collaborating with the product, partnership and sales organizations, technical product marketing managers set the strategy and positioning of Dropbox as a platform with the technology partners in our ecosystem. Additionally, this role will look to capture insights from existing partners and customers, develop messaging to maximize platform adoption, and support events/campaigns to increase awareness around the Dropbox offering. With the ability to strongly impact the global strategy for our product and ecosystem initiatives, technical product marketing managers must have the skills to succeed in a fast-paced startup environment and execute independently on a variety of tasks.
Responsibilities

  • Conduct user, market, and competitive research to better understand the needs of Dropbox customers and the ecosystem of technology partners who integrate with Dropbox
  • Develop the value prop of the Dropbox platform and articulate its value in all partner-facing and customer-facing messaging
  • Work closely with product, engineering, PR/AR, partnerships, customer support support and sales to develop and execute launch plans for new platform updates targeted at the enterprise market
  • Drive awareness of the Dropbox platform by partnering with campaigns team and partner marketing teams for in-person events, webinars, digital campaigns, co-marketing initiatives and other marketing-related activities
Requirements
  • You have a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, information systems, or other technical major
  • 5+ years product marketing or product management experience with previous experience working with a technical audience
  • Project management skills: can prioritize high impact activities and keep complicated projects moving forward, working across cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, and visual
  • Cross-functional leadership: demonstrated ability to work closely with product, engineering, sales, PR, design, and partnerships teams
  • Self-starter: must have a positive attitude and can't be afraid to roll-up their sleeves and get things done
