We're responsible for understanding the end-to-end customer funnel in order to optimize opportunities and help users realize the full potential of our products. We are comprised of many teams across the company, including Product, Engineering and Design.

Role Description
The Global SMB Training Program Manager will serve as a creative, innovative powerhouse focused on improving sales strategy and rep performance. The role will program-manage all onboarding and training activities by identifying performance patterns, creating programs to address gaps, and coaching the trainers at our vendor. This role will empower SMB to be more strategic as we grow the team and drive revenue. The role will collaborate with team-members across SMB to gather program insights, make decisions on how to improve sales performance, and implement solutions. This includes (but is not limited to) creating training programs, revamping legacy training, launching experimental learning programs, improving the rep onboarding experience, and teaching the vendor how to handle new product launches. The role will be key to long-term global SMB success.

Responsibilities

  • Build a vision of what a well-enabled SMB sales team looks like and develop learning paths to make that vision reality
  • Manage, create, and iterate all new and existing training curricula for the global SMB team
  • Evaluate all training programs to ensure consistent quality and accuracy
  • Train the vendor trainers and regularly shadow training sessions to provide feedback and iterate programs
  • Launch new training programs based on team insights and new product launches
  • Build a catalog of refresher trainings for the vendor to rely on based on consistent performance trends
  • Gather data (e.g. rep surveys and program attainment) to evaluate progress, then iterate programs based on results
  • Create and follow through on needs assessment systems to determine training gaps
  • Sync regularly with program managers and leaders across SMB and our vendors to identify trends and problem areas
  • Outside of sales training: Recognize needs of the SMB team as it scales, and execute training programs to address these areas
Requirements
  • Program-management experience for a complex, dynamic, self-run program
  • Project-management skills
  • Ability to practice both high-level strategy and tactical execution
  • A self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity and direction-setting
  • Expert attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to gather insights and synthesize results
  • Experience in SMB sales and SMB training
  • Deep knowledge of the unique sales motion the Dropbox SMB team runs
  • A positive attitude with a solutions-oriented mindset
  • Experience training small and large groups of salespeople
  • Familiarity with core training delivery methods
  • A fast learner with a passion for Learning and Development
  • Hands-on content creation experience
  • Minimal travel required (10 - 15%)
