Business Continuity Manager

Role Description
Our Legal, Policy, and Trust & Security team helps keep users and their stuff safe. We protect Dropbox, counsel Dropboxers on challenging problems, and deal with novel issues every single day while standing up for users and helping the company and product grow.

Protecting Dropbox and our users is critical to being worthy of trust. We're looking for a Business Continuity Manager to join the Risk & Compliance team within Trust & Security. In this role, you will work closely with teams across the entire company to help us prepare for and adequately respond to incidents large and small, if and when they happen. You will own development, management, testing, and continual improvement of our cross-functional, ISO 22301-certified, business continuity program. Finally, you will be involved in our team's risk assessments and compliance audits to help demonstrate to our users how Dropbox is worthy of trust.
Responsibilities

  • Lead the Dropbox Business Continuity Program
  • Design and conduct Business Impact Assessments (BIAs)
  • Oversee plan implementation, updates, and improvements
  • Design and conduct BCP exercises and tests
  • Participate in BCP audits
  • In coordination with the engineering and business incident response team, integrate and connect incident response with the BCP program
  • Improve the security and privacy breach notification process
  • Develop a plan for notification once a breach is confirmed
  • Design and complete breach response notification exercises
  • Work with the Trust & Security team's Security Culture function to promote company awareness of these processes
Requirements
  • You have 4+ years of overall experience in incident response, business continuity, security, audit, or IT
  • You have 2+ years of experience directly involved in incident response and/or business continuity programs
  • You've got a comprehensive working knowledge of incident response frameworks and processes
  • You have working knowledge of business continuity programs and processes, including how to perform business impact assessments (BIA), maintain continuity plans, and design and execute business continuity tests or exercises
  • You possesses a high degree of comfort interacting and consulting with engineers
  • You've got an understanding and willingness to learn about diverse business functions
  • You're passionate about technology and like solving complex problems with creative solutions
  • You've got great interpersonal skills and ability to work well in dynamic team environment
  • You're process-focused and have a consistent track record of building processes that scale
