Vendor Programs Coordinator


This position is responsible for managing assigned spend categories and vendors across a variety of indirect categories including IT, telecom, facilities, and general corporate services.


  • Prepare and solicit competitive bids, quotes, and proposals with pertinent specifications, terms, and conditions. Incorporate technical, quality, contractual and value-add requirements properly into sourcing process
  • Analyze bid results and make recommendations to business unit stakeholders
  • Pursue pricing reductions, quality enhancements, and cost avoidances by working with existing suppliers and identifying improvement opportunities
  • Review contracts and statements of work for appropriate terms, compliance, pricing, deliverables
  • Conduct market research for new products and opportunities
  • Proactively monitor trends on assigned spend categories to determine price movement and business impact
  • Develop and maintain recurring reporting, analysis, and performance metrics on assigned spend categories
  • Establish effective and trusting working relationships with spend category business units and other internal customers
  • Collaborate timely with procurement and finance peers for process improvements, best practices, transaction management
  • Develop a strong understanding and knowledge of suppliers and capabilities
  • Assist with contract management and execution


  • BA/BS in Supply Chain Management, Business, or other related discipline is preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years of purchasing, category management, or vendor management experience
  • IT, telecom, software industry experience preferred
  • Ability to prioritize/de-prioritize multiple projects and/or deadlines
  • Possess a comprehensive knowledge of procurement and supply chain principles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications, proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical skills in spend management, cost analysis, pricing trends.  Ability to organize data into meaningful and timely reports
  • ERP procurement system experience - Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, or Oracle
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, ability to interact with senior management, business unit leads, and present ideas in a concise and digestible manner
  • Experience working in action oriented, growing, fast paced companies
