Via newspaper, digital, mobile, video, and magazine platforms, clients have access to the Journal’s uniquely influential readership. This role will be based in New York, NY.
WSJ is seeking a Vice-President, Global Head of Innovation and Advertising Products to further accelerate our digital advertising growth by developing and bringing to market innovative new advertising products. The successful applicant will have had meaningful experience in generating significant B2B revenue in either video or social media via either a direct sales team or complex matrix management and will need to demonstrate their ability to drive sales through interaction with a global sales team. The VP will also be charged with cultivating deep relationships with top-level agency management in order to drive development of our programmatic, video, social and content advertising products.
What do you need from me?
- Eight to ten years of advertising sales experience with a proven record of success
- A demonstrated proficiency in developing innovative integrated advertising products across all platforms
- A strong network of contacts at global advertising / marketing agencies
- Dynamic interpersonal and analytical skills. These are vital for this role as is the ability to act as an ambassador for the brand at key industry events and in interactions with the trade press.
- Proven business acumen and prior experience selling to the C-suite
- Experience in collaborating well with multiple stakeholders in a matrix environment
- Degree level education preferred
