The APAC Client Solutions team works alongside the APAC advertising sales team with the primary role of supporting the advertising sales team in the generation of ad revenue by: (1) adding media expertise and creative thinking to the multi-media proposal process, (2) providing the insights, data and presentation materials needed to convey a compelling, strategic sales message, and (3) identifying new revenue opportunities that answer client needs and enhance the value of Dow Jones and News Corp as business partners.

The Role: Project Manager, Custom Content (6 month contract)

Based in Hong Kong

The role of Project Manager, Custom Content sits within the Client Solutions team in APAC and is positioned to support the advertising sales team in the generation of ad revenue by providing customized marketing solutions, content expertise and creative thinking to multi-media proposals. This is a 6 month contract role with immediate start.

Who you are:

You are a creative thinker, have an excellent grasp of written English, have a great eye for design, have good organizational skills, are able to work hands-on. You seek out interesting stories and enjoy contributing to a team environment with new ideas on how to deliver cross-platform content.

What you will do:

Work directly with the Senior Manager Custom Content and the Client Solutions team in APAC and our clients to prepare exciting content programs through articles, videos, graphics, events and research.

Including but not limited to:

  • Execute client and/or WSJ Custom Studios content strategy for special features, content hubs and custom events
  • Responsible for the production of digital/print copy ensuring content writers have met brief, quality standards, approvals from stakeholders, etc
  • Run planning and delivery of projects including setting lead times, writing Statements of Work, handling budgets, managing expectations
  • Support internal team and external clients with weekly production meetings, reporting against deadlines, content goals and business objectives.
  • Source and manage vendors where needed to execute a project
  • Able to communicate and manage visual design requirements to designers, developers, and editors across digital, print and video, including ad units, mobile and the technology involved to produce such content.
  • Support the pitching, ideation and sales development process where needed
  • Testing and QA of all work prior to launch

What you need from me?
  • Minimum of 4 years in a marketing communications or public relations background
  • Experience of working within a creative/media agency, multinational corporation or consultancy
  • Creative thinking ability
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven experience of managing multiple stakeholders
  • Results driven and customer focused, with excellent attention to detail
  • University degree (or similar qualification)
  • Fluent spoken and written English essential
  • Proficiency in Mandarin, Cantonese or Japanese would be an advantage
