The position involves the setup, operation and maintenance of mailroom-related equipment, such as list slitters, labeling equipment, Mailroom Control System, newspaper conveyor systems, stackers, bundle conveyors, bottom wrap machines, plastic wrap machines and bundle strapping equipment. Duties include the labeling, routing, handling and correction of both individual newspapers and bundles of newspapers; the proper handling and staging of mailing lists; the re-supply of raw materials required for the efficient operation of various mailroom processing equipment; record-keeping tasks such as the logging of truck departure times; the cleaning of mailroom equipment and light Mailroom equipment maintenance tasks as may be assigned; following the directives of the Foreman, Operations Manager or Production Manager.
