Job Description:
Managing Editor, Digital Platforms
- Lead editorial operations and innovation across our digital platforms, making sure that the mix of content is always timely and distinctive
- Launch new storytelling and distribution experiments on a variety of digital platforms, including audio and email
- Ensure that all headlines and other copy are both compelling and accurate
- Manage a small team of digital editors and producers
- Collaborate with product and art teams on redesign projects and new product launches
- Work closely with audience team to reach new and existing audiences in new ways
The right candidate will:
- Possess reliably excellent editorial judgment,knowledge of investing, finance, and the markets, and a relentless commitment to accuracy
- Be addicted to breaking news and able to find original investing angles in news stories
- Be comfortable working at a fast pace and good at motivating others to do the same
- Be an excellent and quick line editor
- Have extensive experience interpreting and responding creatively to traffic and engagement data, as well as creating sophisticated and engaging content for social and distributed channels
- Be able to think visually and collaborate effectively with designers
- Be a generous, thoughtful colleague and mentor
- Have an entrepreneurial outlook and thrive amid uncertainty and change
