The Wall Street Journal is seeking a Global Head of Visuals to lead its ambitious visual journalism efforts. This masthead-level position is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to produce world-class journalism, lead a global visuals staff of 100+ and shape the future of a top-notch brand.
We want a creative thinker and proven leader who can transform good ideas into great ones and help shape journalistic experiences that will inform and delight our readers. The ideal candidate is energetic, organized and has an award-winning portfolio of work showcasing the best in visual storytelling in both print and digital. He/she should have a history of working across departments and disciplines to come up with novel, groundbreaking ideas. A strong background in data visualization is a must.
The leader we are looking for is driven by helping others do their best work. You should be as comfortable rolling up your sleeves and editing a graphic as you are developing a roadmap for The Wall Street Journal’s future direction, structure, workflow, budget plan and product needs.
