Job Description:

The Wall Street Journal’s China bureau is seeking a high caliber candidate to fill the following vacancy in Beijing.

This is a pivotal role: ensuring that CRT maintains its position as a leading-edge showcase for the Journal’s China coverage. CRT has a loyal fan base of China watchers from around the globe who look to it for ground-level insights into the world’s second largest economy and newest big power.

The editor, to be based in Beijing, curates CRT, writes extensively and works with reporters in the China bureau and the region to propel coverage of our core topics to the forefront of digital journalism. This position requires a self-starter who is comfortable taking initiative and working as part of a team to produce creative, visual storytelling. Whether examining questionable trade statistics or explaining the phenomenon of funeral strippers, CRT takes a thoughtful, accessible approach to China and by doing so widens our audience and brings in new subscribers.
