Application Architect

Job Description:

The Platform development group is seeking an Application Architect to provide architect, design, develop and support to applications owned by the Platform development team.

The successful candidate will be an information technology specialist who can work with minimal supervision. This person will be joining an excellent development team and will have the responsibility to enhance the existing applications and to build a new set of program and interfaces.


  • Develops Integration Products to meet the product requirements and to comply with the industry standards
  • Participates in business analysis, systems analysis, and systems design
  • Makes use of application development standards for designing, building and maintaining applications, applications components, and common services including the use of standard languages and tools
  • Builds and executes rigorous and thorough testing plans for software development including system and module level performance testing
  • Applies software engineering methods/practices


  • 8+ years development software solutions to solve complex & business-critical challenges
  • 5+ years of developing software with object-oriented languages(preferably C#) on Windows, ideally in SOA applications.
  • 2+ years experience as an Application Architect
  • Extensive knowledge about web services (REST)
  • Highly proficient in developing and architecting for the Microsoft .NET platform
  • Knowledge of SQL Server .
  • Knowledge of NoSql (preferably managed database on cloud) is a plus
  • A solid understanding of networking and core Internet protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, and distributed networks).
  • Experience with cloud services preferred
  • Strong Object Oriented Design/Development skills.
  • Knowledge of Node.js a plus
  • In depth knowledge of business systems analysis and modeling including workflow analysis.
  • In depth knowledge in implementing business system solutions with regard to application architectures, development tools and application engineering methods/practices.
  • Self-driven and open to learning new and challenging skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral
  • Ability to work both independently and as a part of a project team
