RESPONSIBILITIES
The Sound Technology Research Intern will investigate new techniques for capturing spatial audio with novel microphone arrays. Such configurations may include linear, planar, circular, spherical and nonuniform geometries. Prototyping and testing of algorithms may involve programming in MATLAB, C, C++, or other environments. At the end of the internship period, a presentation on work conducted will be given to the Sound Technology Research department. Work and results will be documented in a final report, and may also culminate in the submission of academic papers or the filing of IP
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong programming skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
ELIGIBILITY
- Working towards a graduate or PhD degree in Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering or related field or a related field; recent grads who are within 6 months of graduation are also eligible to apply
- Must be available to work full-time Monday - Friday between May/June 2020 - November/December 2020. Start dates for the internship are as follows:
- Tuesday, May 26, 2020
- Monday, June 15, 2020
- Monday, June 22, 2020
- (Note: these dates are not flexible)
