The OS Ecosystem team at Dolby Laboratories is looking for a strong Product Manager to drive the creation of new audio and video products for our partners in the PC, mobile, tablet and connected device space.
The Product Manager role will lead planning and execution for product releases for our OS partners, as well as coordinate with our other product teams to create great experiences together. These products provide the core around which solutions for all aspects of user interaction build. Entertainment, productivity, communications, or even uses not yet imagined – the OS Ecosystem products enable our partners and Dolby to change the way people experience devices and software.
This role requires a solid understanding of how audio and/or video works in a modern operating system, bringing software products to scale globally, and how the experience will affect the end user. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Product Manager who loves solving complex problems through collaboration with multiple global teams. You will be responsible for understanding customer scenarios, defining and prioritizing product requirements and investment roadmaps, and engaging with teams across Dolby to deliver results. This challenging position involves product development across multiple disciplines with both internal and external teams, and requires proven ability to collaborate and coordinate initiatives in a complex environment.
- Expertise and passion working with customers (and their customers) to understand their scenarios and business drivers
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with facility in cross-dependent environments
- Ability to develop product strategy and roadmap, and drive product execution
- Excellent technical and functional design skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated success building strong relationships and delivering results in cross-group projects
- 5+ years in product management or program management in software companies
- Demonstrated experience in the entire software product development cycle
- Previous experience working on audio or video subsystems a plus
- Bachelor and/or graduate degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent
